Bank complaints

My  husband opened checking account with CIBC in Alberta. He was offered some features like no monthly charges,no hidden fee and 300$ bonus.He wasn't  using that checking account for daily transaction often as he had another account with different bank.1 day he check his online account with CIBC and realized that the bank was chargin monthly fee and ripping him off with 5$ a month. So he called customer service and inquiries about the charges without notifaing him.customer service agent was sorry for the inconvenience and fixed the issue by refunding all the amount charged in the past to make up for the mess occurred due to technical error .
